Here is a note from one of our dear friends with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, in Ann Arbor, Michigan......
We supply their order with thousands of free prayer cards to use in their retreats and educational work. Sr. Mary McGlynn, a daughter of Tallahassee, is the artist for many of our prayer card illustrations.
This note is addressed to all of our brothers and sisters serving our country in the military...........
“Dear Troops” –
Too many times we, perhaps, seem to take you for granted. But in reality, your dedication and constant “gift of self” keep our nation free and spreads forth upon the face of the earth this blessed right which Almighty God intended for all peoples. You are our heroes – whether or not any purple hearts are ever pinned upon you. Your hearts are real – made of the same flesh that the Son of God assumed to save us, his staying children. In this sacrificial aspect of your lives, God finds in you a reflection of his Son. Please know of our prayers for you, your families and loved ones......and always our Eucharistic gratitude.
in His Peace,
Sister Joseph Andrew, OP
